THIRSTIES DUO DIAPER:

  Now for the diaper I was given to review!  I was sent the Thirsties Duo Diaper in the Storm Cloud color.  The Thirsties Duo Diaper is a two piece system with the waterproof sleeve diaper and the absorbent insert.  This diaper comes in 2 sizes to fit from birth to potty training.  The diaper is easily adjusted with snaps in the front to change the rise.  The insert is two separate inserts snapped together: Microfiber terry & hemp combo with 7 layers!  This makes drying time faster.  The diaper has leg gussets to protect against leaks.   

   The sleeve design is really cool because it has the opening on each end of the diaper.  This means that when the diaper is soiled then you don't have to reach your hand into the pocket and pull out a dirty insert.  You just throw the whole diaper into the pail until wash day.  When it is time to wash just throw it into the washer and the insert comes out on its own.  I especially love this because John will change diapers, but he does not get that you have to remove the insert from pockets before washing.  So I don't have to worry about missing this when I do the laundry. 

HOW DID IT WORK??

   I was excited to try this diaper out and see how it works for us.  I washed it up and put it in the diaper drawer with my others.  I don't think it was in there 10 minutes and I saw Jayden walking around with it on.  Seems hubby went to change Jayden and he grabbed for this diaper.  I wasn't quite ready to photograph or get started.  But it worked great!  The diaper fit Jayden well and allowed for him to move around easily.  After then next wash we tried it again and I got some good pictures to share with you:

   The diaper is really soft and I love the color.  Jayden liked his new diaper too.  He can even ride his bike while wearing this diaper.  We used the diaper a few times during the day and even during nap and it worked great.  I love the that this diaper adjusts so easily .  I know that some people prefer snaps over Velcro, but to get hubby to change diapers I have to have some Velcro.  I think that Velcro is easier to adjust.  I have the diaper on the largest rise setting and there is still lots of room for Jayden to grow.  I could actually snap it up one and it still fit well.  Jayden weights around 27 lbs now. 

   I thought I would test this diaper out for nighttime use!  Jayden is typically a heavy nighttime wetter, but I wanted to see how this diaper would do.  So I put the diaper on him on a Friday night (in case of a leak and middle of the night change I didn't want to do it when I didn't have to get up early for work, LOL!).  Saturday morning Jayden woke me playing in his bed.  The bed was dry!  The diaper held up great for overnight.  Just to clarify Jayden went to bed around 7:30pm and woke around 5:30 am, so 10 hours! 

WHAT DO WE THINK??

   I love this diaper!!  John and Jayden also love this diaper.  I would defiantly recommend this diaper to anyone.  I would say it is perfect for the new cloth diaper mom and dad, great for daycare or sitters and grandparents, and great for cloth diapering pros too!  I would definitely recommend this diaper.  The diaper has held up beautifully during wash. It comes out just as soft each time and I have had no stains.
