bumbledoo Training Pants Review (Giveaway to come)

bumbledoo is a WAHM company by Malia.  Malia is a mommy to 2 sweet little boys.  Malia was inspired by her own mother that crafted and made many items for her as she was growing up.  Malia makes all her items in her home and she also makes her own patterns.  bumbledoo has some really cute stuff.
bumbledoo has cloth diapers, training pants, mama pads, nursing covers, toddler aprons, bumble pockets, and more.  Malia will custom make your items to your specific needs.  All babies are sized differently so when placing your order Malia will work with you on your child's size.  Malia is very sweet and easy to work with.        She has some really cute prints in her shop.   bumbledoo has a variety of training pants styles available such as, pull on, side snap, stuffable, and adjustable snap.  bumbledoo Cloth Training Pants are waterproof and breathable with a PUL (polyurethane laminate) outside.

I was sent a pair of training pants for Jayden to try out.  I was very excited about this because I had my eye on them for a while now.  I was worried about sizing.  Jayden is tall and skinny so he often does not fit into normal sizing.  According to the charts on weight Jayden would need a size 4T, but according to the measurements he was between a 2T and a 3T.  Malia worked with me on the sizing and we went with a 3T.  I could not wait to get it.  She didn't have any cute prints in stock to make a pair of 3T training pants at the time so I was sent a white pair to try.  I received them in the mail and they were just as cute as they are online.  I couldn't wait to try them on Jayden.
After washing them I pulled them out right away.  They fit Jayden very well.  There are no gabs around the legs or waist.  I can tell there is plenty of room to grow.  Jayden ran around like usual and they did not keep him from his normal movements.  The trainer has snaps on the side (kind of the front side) to help with messy accidents.  I love this feature since Jayden is still starting out potty training.  Jayden is fighting the potty training so I am happy to have some training pants that are waterproof.
When Jayden had an accident he immediately was able to tell me he needs to go pee pee, but no leaks.  Of course Jayden says he has to go pee pee when he has already gone.   He wore these during nap time and they worked great.  I have not tried it at night since he is not close to day trained yet, but I suspect that it will work great when the time comes.  These also seem to pull up and down pretty easy.  So when Jayden is ready to try pulling them up and down on his own I expect that they will work great for him.
I would definitely recommend bumbledoo Cloth training pants for beginning potty training.  They fit great, allow for him to know when he is wet, keep my floors and fruniture dry, and look cute.  These are thinner than a diaper, but seem to hold well like a diaper.  I have heard wonderful things about their diapers too.  Often Malia will have giveaways on her facebook page so be sure and like her page and visit often.

Malia also has an etsy shop with some additional products.  Be sure and check it out too.

  5. I think it's great that Malia worked with you to get the size right. My babies are oddly shaped so I think that would help me. Sounds like Bumbledoo trainers are a great product!

  6. These look like perfect "out and about" training pants because they are waterproof and have the side snaps. At home I'm not picky and wouldn't spend much money on training pants (sew them myself out of T-shirts), but I think I will need a few nicer ones as well.
