Going Green for 2011: Green Furniture... (CSN giveaway to come)

When it comes to being green I think that sometimes it is also about buying products that are strong, sturdy, and will last.  If you have the right product that lasts then there is less waste send to our land fills.  There is a lot of furniture available out there, but if it only lasts a year or two then that means every couple years you are throwing way furniture and filling the land fills.
CSN is my favorite online store to shop. And when looking at the modern office furniture you can see they have a huge selection of some great products that will last for years to come and are recyclable when it is time to let them go.  You ask how can this chair be green??

Steelcase - Think® Leather Work Chair

Here are a few ways:
•Up to 99% recyclable by weight
•Disassembly for recycling takes about five minutes using common hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, etc.)
•Up to 44% recycled content
•Think® holds the NF Environment Label in France for environmental quality
•Think® is GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified
So when your in need of some new office furniture think about checking CSN stores and look for the GreenGuard symbol for environmentally friendly products.

I was not compensated in any way for this post.  I will be given a gift code to host a giveaway following this post.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.  disclosure policy

  1. Thank you so much for mentioning GREENGUARD Certification in your post about green furniture!

Unfortunately, the Steelcase Think® chair highlighted in this post is not GREENGUARD Certified. Certain Steelcase products USED to be GREENGUARD Certified—-and that may be why the logo you have here is outdated—-but Steelcase has not participated in the GREENGUARD Certification Program℠ for several years.

If you’re ever in doubt about whether a product is GREENGUARD Certified, check out the free online GREENGUARD Product Guide. You can search for products by category, manufacturer, product attributes, and certification type. And, it is updated regularly—and real time—to reflect only the most up-to-date certification listings. Just visit and click on the orange "Search Now" button on the homepage.

I hope that’s helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions!
