Going Green For 2011: Sage Diaper Review & Giveaway~`~ CLOSED

    One of the biggest ways that I have gone green is by using cloth diapers.  I love my cloth diapers as many of you may already know.  I love trying new diapers too.  I was very excited when I was contacted by Sage Diapers to review their diapers.  I was even more excited when I was told that she wanted to send me 2 different diapers to review.  I was sent the One Step Diaper Cover (one size), Sure Fit Diaper Cover (size 2), Hemp Organic Insert, and a Micro Terry Insert.

     In 1983, when my husband and I founded Diaperaps, everyone told us we were crazy and that cloth diapers were a thing of the past.      I received the Sage Clover size 2 diaper.  This diaper comes in 2 sizes.  Size 1 is 5-20 lbs and size 2 is 18-40 lbs.  Jayden is just over 30lbs and the diaper fits great with room to grow.  I received both a micro terry a hemp organic insert so I could try both.  It was easy to stuff and I like the snaps to hold the insert.  It helps to keep the insert from bunching up in the front.  Plus I like the added benefit that if the insert was forgotten and washed without being removed it would likely keep from bunching in the pocket.  I did not experience it, but I expect that it will at some point.  The diaper fit well and never leaked with either insert.  We used the diaper during nap time and with some messy diapers and it never leaked.  The diaper is a little bulky on Jayden, especially with the micro terry insert.  I like the versatility of the diaper in that you can use it as a pocket diaper or an AI2.

     I received the Jade color One Step Diaper.  The diaper itself is really soft.  You can choose to get micro Terry or Hemp Organic for the insert.  I received one of each so I was able to try this diaper with both inserts.  Upon first use I noticed that the diaper is soft and thin.  I love how it fit so well.  The hook and loop is strong and well made.  The insert fit well and stayed in place thanks to the snap in. I used this diaper with both inserts and both worked well.  This diaper is an AI2 style diaper.  The hook loop closures are strong and stay well attached.  The closure also helps to get a good fit.  I love how soft this diaper is.  It is also very trim.  Both inserts work well with this cover.  Jayden tested it out well and it never leaked.  We also used it for nap time and it held up well.   I really like how trim this diaper is.  This diaper is also very daddy friendly.

     Both these diapers have some great features that I like.  Really there is little to complain about.  The Sure Fit Pocket Diaper is a little bulkier.  If I had to choose just one I would pick the One Step Diaper, but really both are great.  I think it depends on your preferred diaper style.  I am so eclectic that I like many different types for different situations.  Oh and something else great about Sage diapers is they have Flat rate $5 shipping to the Continental US.  Shipping cost can make a big difference in purchases, so its great that they have a low flat rate for all orders.
