Reaching Out for Prayers and Hope for Emily!!!

As a parent of a young child we always worry about them, with every bump, bruise, fall, and sickness.  I can't imagine how devastating it is to hear from the doctor that your young child is sick with a life threatening disease.  Unfortunately a fellow blogger, Shannon at Coupon Mommy of 3 heard that from her child's doctor recently.  I don't know if you know her, but she is a wonderful blogger and has hosted tons of fantastic reviews, giveaway's not to mention we all love her Facebook Flash Giveaway's. Her family is in crisis right now. Shortly before Christmas, Shannon's middle daughter, Emily, was taken to the hospital where they received some shocking and life changing news. Little Emily is in stage IV Cancer and will begin chemotherapy very soon. You can read updates below on caring bridge.

Please read her story here:

Caring Bridge Site for Shannon's daughter

What can we do? LOTS!! My friend Karen from Mommy Times and I have come up with some great ideas on helping this wonderful family!

Some ideas we discussed are gift cards for food, stores, gas cards, anything to help this family.  I am sure it is costly to drive back and forth to the hospital all the time, not to mention how it is hard to keep up with meals for this family.  Shannon has 2 other daughters in addition to Emily.

There is a way to make donations for this family through Chip in and the link below.

If you are business or an individual and would like to donate, or have ideas, please contact me at  bwneyes100@hotmail.com or Karen at southcarolinamommy@gmail.com.

Please lift this entire family up, especially little Emily, in your thoughts and prayers.

If you would like to make donations for Emily, you can do so from this link. This is a great way to raise money for someone online and it go directly to their pay pal account. This allows us all to help them and gives them access to this help immediately. This site is called http://www.chipin.com/.

We are still soliciting gas cards, food cards, Wal-mart cards, and gifts for Emily. Emily is 3 years old and loves Mickey Mouse, Tinkerbell and Justin Beiber.

Please email me at myself or Karen if you would like to send Shannon and Emily anything.

We know that there are many people that really can't donate any money or objects, but them most important thing you can do is YOU CAN PRAY FOR EMILY AND THIS FAMILY!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Will you be posting an address to send her things or do we just contact you. Also, I know she has siblings so some of their 'likes' would be nice, too.

I urge you to check into Spirit Jump, as well. It consists of many members who ban together to help cancer patients by sending them cards and gifts... things to make their day a bit brighter. They'll also include siblings. They're small and want to feel special thru the difficult time as well. Here's the link:
