flipflop Wines Review

I had the opportunity to try some flipflop wines recently, a newly launched wine collection.  I don't consider myself a wine cosier, but I do enjoy a glass of wine occasionally.  I was excited to try this new wine.

Vinter David Georges is behind this new line of wines.  He began working on the inaugural vintage for flipflop wines in 2009.  David's goal was "to stay true to the varietal character, to be expressive and to be well-balanced, and be affordable for people of all economic levels."  There are seven different varietals  available to appeal to lovers of all wines.  The varietals include: Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Moscato, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pino Noir.
In addition flipflop wines has teamed up with Soles4Souls.  For every bottle of flipflop wine purchased, Soles4Souls will distribute a pair of shoes to someone in need.  Soles4Souls facilitates the donations of shoes, which are used to aid the hurting worldwide. Shoe companies, retailers, and individuals can donate footwear (both new and used). There are more than 300 million children in the world that do not have shoes.  Shoes can help prevent the spread of parasitic diseases that plague over 1.4 billion people worldwide, and they are basic human necessity.

I was sent a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a bottle of Riesling.  I love that both bottles have a label that identifies where the wine falls from dry to sweet.  The Pinot Grigio was my first to try.  It was just as the label said right int he middle of medium dry and medium sweet.  I really liked this wine.  It was the perfect balance of taste.  I then tried the Riesling which is also good.  This is a much sweeter taste.  Both wines had a great taste and left me wanting more.  I can't wait to try the other wines in the collection.  Like I said before I am not a wine cosier by any means, but I know what I like and I like this wine for sure.

Another great thing about this wine besides the great taste, the pair of shoes for a needy child with every bottle sold, is that each bottle only costs $7.  I could not believe that such great taste for such a little price.  This is definitely wine that I will buy again and again.  I often like to give wine as a gift to friends and family and my new go to wine will definitely be flipflop wines.

To Purchase the wines you can get them directly from Underdog Wine Merchants, or look for the brand at your local grocery store or wine shop.
