Sponsor Spotlight *Exergen Temporal Thermometer* #ABE2

I think all moms get worried about their baby or child getting sick.  When the day comes for your little one to be sick, and don't worry that day will come, it is difficult to get an accurate temperature with some of the traditional thermometers.  The traditional way in using a rectal thermometer can be scary and difficult for a first time mom.  Your never sure if you are doing it right and worry if its accurate.  Also, you don't want to hurt your baby by mistake.  You can't put a thermometer under your babies tongue, that doesn't work.  I was given at my baby shower a pacifier thermometer.  This is a great idea, but what if your baby doesn't like pacifiers or doesn't want this one.  I also worry about the pacifier thermometer being accurate.  I had seen the Temporal Thermometer's, but there are so many different ones, which are good to use?  I was recently sent the Exergen Temporal Thermometer to review.

The Temporal Thermometer is a totally non-invasive system with advanced infrared technology providing maximum ease of use with quick, consistently accurate measurements. Advanced, patented technology measures temperatures with a gentle stroke across the forehead.  The Temporal Thermometer has been clinically tested for accuracy compared to rectal thermometers and temperature sensors inserted in the heart during course of patient treatment and accepted for use in major hospitals, making it the ideal thermometer for use with newborns, infants, children or adults.

The temporal thermometer is super easy to use.  All you have to do is press and hold the button, lightly scan across the forehead, and release the button at the temple.  The temperature will appear in digital format on the screen.  There is no need for probe covers.  It can be used while your child sleeps without disturbing them.  In fact this product can be used on all members of your family.  The Temporal Thermometer has been used in many hospital studies and found to be more accurate than ear and accuracy comparable to rectal.  Included in the package is the 9 volt battery needed to use it.  I love when products include all items needed to use them such as batteries.

I think the Exergen Temporal thermometer is a must have for any mom.  When your child is sick you don't want to have to fight and struggle with them to get their temperature.  When I was at the doctor myself many months back with bronchitis the nurse took my temperature and I noticed that she had this same Exergen Temporal Thermometer.  When I see a doctor using a product then I feel more comfortable in using it too.  I am happy that my family has not been sick recently, but when someone does get sick I will have my Exergen Temporal Thermometer to gather an accurate temperature fast and without fuss.

Buy itAmazon $32.60, Target, Babies R Us and many other retailers.

  1. I love the ease of use that this thermometer provides. When my little ones where newborns we used the paci thermometer and that was so horrible!

  2. I have one of these and we love it! I love that there is no sticking involved to get a temp (ear, mouth, arm pit, etc)! All you do is run it over the forehead and you have your temp!
