TeRRi DVD Review

I was recently sent the movie TeRRi to review on DVD.  The movie stars Jacob Wysocki, Creed Bratton, and John C. Reilly.

An overweight social misfit, Terri Thompson (Wysocki), is the lone caretaker and guardian for his elderly Uncle James (Bratton).  While struggling to find acceptance in school, Terri finds refuge in the company of his shy but pretty classmate Heather (Olivia Crocicchia, “Rescue Me”). In an effort to bring Terri out of his awkward pajama-wearing shell, his off-beat high school principal, Mr. Fitzgerland (Reilly) takes Terri under his wing to distract himself from his own painful divorce.  What emerges is a lesson on growing pains for both of them, and learning to find a reason to spread their wings and fly.

I'm sure many of you remember how difficult high school was.  Fitting in was always a challenge, even the most popular students are awkward and work at fitting in.  But there is always a student or two that are the most awkward and has the most difficulty with fitting in.  In this movie Terri is an average student that stands out as different, he is the awkward student.  He is just trying to live his life the only way he knows how.  Terri wears pajamas everyday, he is late for school, and has few friends.  He lives with his elderly uncle.  Terri befriends a pretty and shy girl in school.  The school principal befriends Terri in an effort to help Terri and in turn helps himself through his own painful divorce.  Through it all Terri learns you don't have to fit in to belong.

The movie is easy to get involved with.  Terri is immediately someone you want root for.  Terri is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD.

I received a copy of the DVD for review purposes.  All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was not compensated in any way.

  1. I visited potty monkey (is that the right question?) and learned that the timer requests to go potty every 30 or 90 mins.

  2. Awkward moment in high school was in 4th or 5th grade, we were playing softball at recess and while holding the bat, my teacher pitching the ball, said Jen and pointed to my arm, I looked and my bra strap was hanging outside my shirt. So embarrassing being that young!

  3. An awkward moment for me is when I had to wear shorts for gym class when I wanted to wear sweat pants. Didn't like showing my legs. I didn't want people looking at me wrong tensed me up.

  4. An awkward moment in high school? Um... my whole high school experience was pretty awkward!! One time I ripped my dress during a choir performance though... AWKWARD!!
