Holiday Gift Guide: Xtrema Cookware 10Pcs Set Review plus a #Giveaway

Seems like every year cookware is at the top of my list or my moms.  Although I do not cook much, I still wear out pots and pans quickly.  I think that cookware is an item you want to spend a little more on to get something good.  But even spending more money does not guarantee they will be good.  With this in mind I am happy to introduce you to Xtrema cookware as a great holiday gift this year.
I was send the Xtrema Cookware 10pcs Set to review.  The set includes 8" skillet, 2.5qt saucepan with cover, 2.5 Qt Silicone Steamer Basket with Cover,Two Silicone Pot Holders and 3 Piece Nylon Tool Set. Xtrema has a variety of sets as well as individual items for sale.  I was excited to get started with using the items I was sent.

First let me tell you some features of the Xtrema cookware.
  • Xtreme High Temperature
  • Xtremely Easy to clean
  • Xtremely Attractive
  • Xtremely Versatile
  • Xtremely Healthy Cooking
  • Xtremely Practical
  • Xtremely Tasty
  • Xtremely Durable
So the Xtrema can be used on an electric stove top just as well as on an open fire, oven, freezer, barbecue grill, broiler, and microwave oven. With the Xtrema cookware food cooks faster and reduces cooking time.  Xtrema cookware can not be scratched even by metal utensils and Industrial steel wool.  You can even put the cookware in the dishwasher.  I am always fearful of putting pots and pans in the dishwasher, but Xtrema is made with a Non-Scratch, Non-Toxic ceramic glaze surface.  The cookware is very thick and it does take a little longer to heat up, but it keeps the heat longer.

I have used the cookware a few times.  The first use was to make Macaroni and Cheese.  I know fancy.. but Jayden asked for it and I was excited to try my new cookware.  It made perfect Macaroni and Cheese.  I also used the skillet for making chicken, and I used the stock pot and steamer to steam some broccoli in the next few days.  The skillet is small so when I went to make an all in one meal I had to switch to a larger pan.  I love the silicone steamer.  I usually use one of those metal ones that folds together.  This one was so much easier to use.  It also has its own lid with the seam release holes.  the broccoli came out very yummy.  As part of the set I was sent silicone pot holders.  These were great.  When it was time to lift the hot pan off the stove to dump the water I was able to easily slide them on and move the pan without getting burned.  I did learn not to leave them on the handles as your food continues to cook, they get hot and it defeats the purpose.  This set even came with nylon tools and I love them.  They are thick, sturdy, and shorter than most.

I love this set all the way around.  Xtrema would make a great gift for anyone that cooks.  I think my only dislike is the size.  I tend to use larger skillets when cooking.  Really that is nothing to complain about because they do have larger skillets.

  36. I really liked the point Xtrema made on their teapot description, the water you put in it should taste like the water that comes out (aka not metal). This is such a good point, especially if you take the time to purify /filter your water.
