2011 Holiday Gift Guide Happiness is... Peanuts Snow Days DVD Review

What are the holidays with out Peanuts??  You have to watch a few Peanuts movies to feel like it really is a holiday.  'A Charlie Brown Christmas' is a classic, this year Peanuts introduced 'Happiness Is... Peanuts Snow Days.'  I was excited to get this and watch it with Jayden.  This year we watched The Great Pumpkin and he loved it, so I knew he'd enjoy this one too.

Join your Peanuts pals for a great gust of wonderful wintery fun!  The newest collection of peanuts stories celebrates everyone's favorite thing about a long, chilly winter: snow days!  Peppermint Patty trains for a figure-skating competition and Snoopy is her tough coach and crafty costume designer in the TV special She's a Good Skate, Charlie Brown.  The smiles continue with an episode of The Charlie Brown & Snoopy Show featuring three short tales: The Play, Sweet Babboo! and Snoopy's Story.  Charlie Brown reflects on Christmas Past while Sally prepares for Valentine's Day and Patty writes an award-winning essay about Snoopy.  It may be cold outside, but the Peanuts kids are sure to bring lots of warmth and happiness into your home this winter!

As expected Jayden was glued to the TV during the whole show.  He loved it.  John and I enjoyed it too.  It brought back lots of memories for us.  I did notice that the teacher didn't make that "Waaa waaa waaa waaa waaa" sound like she used to.  She actually spoke to Peppermint Patty.  That was kind of weird and I missed the "Waaa Waaaa Waaa Waaaa waaaa."  But other than that the movie was fun and entertaining.  It was fun to sit together and watch as a family.  This movie will stay in our library for use every year.  This movie would make a great gift or stocking stuffer for any Peanuts lover on your holiday list.

  1. Wow, Peanuts without the teacher's "Waa waaaa waaa"? Weird! LOL!
My kids would love it too! I'll have to check into this!

  2. I love Peanuts, although I do think it would be weird without the "Waa-waa" sounds! This might be one that we have to add to our winter movie collection for the kids!
