Hot Wheels RC Nitro Speeders Review

Jayden loves anything remote control.  I knew he would love the Hot Wheels RC Nitro Speeders.  Mattel sent me the Hot Wheels RC Nitro Speeders Ken Block Ford Fiesta Rally Car recently to review.

When we received it in the mail of course Jayden wanted to play with it right away.  I set it to charge while we waited for John to get home.  Jayden always likes to have his daddy see what new things he gets. Plus, I thought it would be a fun daddy ~ son toy.  When John got home the car was charged and the two of them played.  Jayden was very excited and loved it immediately.  I wouldn't say he can easily control the car, but he actually does better than I do.

Engineered for extreme speed, this highly responsive R/C car delivers amazing performance! The micro but mighty vehicle lets you race anytime, any place with scale speeds up to 600 mph! Plus, the car comes with a carrying case that serves as a remote control and charger.
  • Sleek and lightweight with aerodynamic design
  • Super-powered charger keeps the car at peak performance
  • On-the-go fun for every racing fan
The Hot Wheels RC Nitro Speeders come in a couple of different car makes.  We received the Ken Block Fiesta.  I really like that the car is kept in the remote control when not in use.  This helps to prevent it from getting lost, if it is put away properly.  That would be a hard thing for a 3 year old, but of course this toy is marked as 8+.  I also like that the remote control is the charger.  I often misplace the chargers for things and having it all built in is great.  The charger is kind of strange in that it uses a battery in the charger and then the car hooks up to the charger.  So ultimately the battery charges the car.  And although that sounds great that the charger is powered by a battery, I don't like that when you charge it you can't close the little window to hold the car.  If you try to close the window then the charger unplugs.  The only other thing I don't really like is that it is so small and easy to step on and break.

Ultimately this car got a big thumbs up with Jayden and John.  The new kitten loves or hates it, I can't tell yet.  He loves to chase it around that is for sure.  You can see Jayden and the kitten having a great time with this toy.  If your looking for a fun last minute gift then I would say this is a great fun toy for any boy, even girl, or kitty on your list.
