Zensah Fresh Legs Maternity Compression Socks Review

When I was pregnant with Jayden I had horrible leg cramps almost nightly.  I would wake up to the pain.  Lots of people would tell me things like drink more water or eat more bananas.  I was doing that, but really it didn't help with the leg cramps.  Also, the last month or more I had very swollen legs, ankles, and feet.  I was constantly told to put my feet up more.  That helped some, but the swelling didn't really go away.  So of course I am worried about getting the cramps and swelling this time around.  I recently found Zensah and was excited to be able to review a pair of their Fresh Legs Maternity Compression Socks.

Zensah was created to help athletes at all levels improve their performance by utilizing innovative sportswear made with cutting edge technology.  Zensah's revolutionary seamless design consists of an ultra-breathable, moisture wickening fabric that draws sweat away from the body, allowing the garment and athlete to stay cool, dry and light.  Zensah, the pioneer of graduated compression apparel, has created revolutionary seamless sportswear designed as a true second-skin fit, giving the athlete greater performance, comfort and mobility.   In addition to athletes Zensah has products specifically for maternity including compression socks and compression sleeves.  Maternity Compression Socks can help to prevent swollen feet, increase blood flow, relieve aches and pains, regulate body temperature, and they incorporate arch support.

I was sent a pair of the Maternity Compression socks.  When I first received them I noticed how well made they are.  The socks are labeled with an L and R on the toes for left and right.  When I first put them on they were very snug, but didn't hurt.  They go up about 3/4 of my calf.  Since I had my cramps at night while sleeping before so I decided to wear them to bed.   When I woke in the morning they were still fitting snug and comfortable.  I have not had much swelling yet so I don't know how much that can help yet, but I am happy to have them for when that time comes.  The other night I felt a leg cramp coming on while wearing the socks, but it never developed.  I was happy to not feel the pain that I remembered.

So far I am loving these socks and plan to use them throughout my pregnancy.  I am happy to have a simple and medication free solution to leg cramps and swelling.  If your pregnant, an athlete, sit at a desk all day, or have varicose veins then I urge you to check out Zensah socks and sleeves.

  2. I would have loved those after I had my daughter. I had a c-section and was so bloated from all the fluids that my feet and legs were swollen for weeks. I will remember these for whenever we have #2

  3. I suffer from leg cramps anyway, but they were especially bad when I was pregnant... along with the swollen feet and (c)ankles. I mean it made me miserable! I will be keeping these in mind for my next pregnancy!

  5. This looks like it would be great not just for maternity, especially if it helps reduce the ocurrence of leg cramps and swelling. It might even be good for going on longer trips especially on an airplane since it helps increase blood flow.
