Educational Insights Design & Drill Power Tool Workshop Review & Giveaway

When looking for toys for Jayden I always look at the educational value.  I want him to learn as well has have fun.  The best learning comes out of fun play.  I was super excited when recently I was contacted by Educational Insights to become one of their review bloggers.  I love that every item they sell has some educational value.  After talking to them I received a big box with some great items inside.  The first item was the Design & Drill Power Tool Workshop.  I have had my eye on this toy for a long time.

This is a complete kit is sure to bring hours of fun.  The workshop includes 100 regular bolts in 5 assorted colors, 20 fun bolts in 5 shapes and colors, 2 different bits, wrench power drill, power screwdriver, activity board, and activity guide all in a carrying case.  With 2 different power tools you can have 2 children play at the same time.  The activity guide has some examples of designs to make or you can use your imagination to make your own designs. The educational value of the Design & Drill Power Tool Workshop includes fine motor skills, patterns, counting, colors, and shapes.  All items are made of sturdy, wipe-clean plastic.  All items are held in the carrying case that measures 15"L X 15"H.

Jayden loved this product just as much as I expected.  Jayden loves power tools and this one he can use and play with when ever he wants.  He hasn't really gotten into patterns yet, but loves to identify the colors, sort the shapes, and count how many blots he put in the board.  I love that it is travelable, in that we can take it somewhere if we wanted to.  Great for an all day visit to grandma's house.  So far is he has not taken it to his Nana's, but I am sure it will be going there soon.  All the tools snap into place and the bolts have a place to be held into place, in addition under the activity board there is more space for more bolts.  I love the tools have a place and the whole kit stays in one place.  The little cubby for the bolts have a door that often comes off when open and closed.  It is easy to replace for me, but not so easy for Jayden.  He needs help when it comes off.  Also once the full kit is put together and you close it the latch is hard to hook and if not done right it will pop open.  I am hoping that is because it is new and just needs to be "broke-in".

Overall we love this product.  Jayden has already gotten so much use out of it and I am sure we will get much more.  Educational Insights has a large selection of great educational toys and games.

Buy it:  Design & Drill Power Tool Workshop $59.99

    42. I want to win this for my nephew whose birthday is coming up. I think he could really benefit from this, as his motor skills are not as good as most children his age, since he has spent so much time in the hospital going through many surgeries, and is a little behind for his age, but he is getting there.
