My Pregnancy Journal Week 15

Week 15

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.") From BabyCenter

Random Thoughts:  I have had a couple of weird dreams lately.  One was a dream my husband was cheating on me and I walked in.  I was pregnant at the time, but was so odd feeling, not like it was real.  They were standing up just kissing and it look super awkward.  I know it would not happen, because my hubby would not cheat.  Plus, he has no time even if he wanted too.. lol!  We had a big training day on Monday at work so I saw lots of people I don't see daily and everyone kept telling me they think its a girl.  I have not told them we wanted a girl.  They were all fairly certain its a girl and I'm afraid to believe anything.  Also, the trainer we had at my training on Wednesday shared that she has 3 girls and the last one was a boy on both ultrasounds and came out a surprise girl!  Now I am torn.  I want to keep hope for a girl, but don't want to dwell on it or put too much into it.  I just know I want to be and will be happy with what god gives us.

Symptoms:   Belly sticking out lots!  Everyone at work wants to touch my belly lately.  Doesn't bother me too much.  I had a little cramping (uterus growing on Sunday).  Also, Monday a slight amount of spotting.  Belly is tight and kind of bloaty too.  Oh and last night I had a really bad leg cramp.  Not sleeping without my compression socks again! Hope they help.

Weight Gain: well, 2 more lbs... :( so 12 overall.  Its been an eating week.  My birthday was this week and we had a couple of catered lunches at work.  So I ate lots this week. But the yummy food was worth it, I think.

Cravings:  I have been wanting a strawberry milkshake.  I make fruit smoothies in the morning for Jayden and I.  I was hoping by adding the strawberries to that I will satisfy that, but no luck.  Still want a milkshake.  guess I will have to get one soon.

Food Aversions: nothing

What made me cry this week: Don't think I cried this week.  All has been pretty good.  Probably should have cried that I had a birthday and got older, but didn't really make a big deal.

Thoughts from Jayden:  Jayden did mention once this week about a brother, but quickly went back to baby sister.  He has also noticed that my belly is bigger, he will touch it and tell me the baby is in there.  He has been cuddly with me too. Love all the attention he gives me right now.

Something I am excited about:  I have a doctor appointment tomorrow and hope to hear baby's heart beat.  Baby has been moving still, hoping it is more and more soon.  I only feel him/her once a day if that.  Also excited that baby should be able to hear so I can use my sound beginnings and play music for him/her.
