My Pregnancy Journal Week 20

Week 20

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)  He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).  From BabyCenter

Random Thoughts: Not too much going on.  I have started thinking about having two boys.  Some days it seems great and some days a little overwhelming.  Jayden can be a very active boy and two active boys may run me down.  But then I know how much cuddles I get and can't wait to get twice as much.  My mom and I were talking about how cute baby is sucking his thumb in the womb.  She was thinking that maybe that is a good sign for breastfeeding.  I really want for breastfeeding to be a little easier this time.. not sure I can pump full time with Jayden and baby.  Lets all pray baby boy is a champion breastfeeding!!

Symptoms/Medical: tiredness continues... zzzzz!!  Kind of annoying.  I have energy and moments later I am just so tired.  I have had the early signs of leg cramps, but so far no full on charlie horses yet.  Tummy has been tightening lately.  Its not painful, just uncomfortable.  No other issues to report.

Weight Gain: 1lbs.. so overall I am at 18lbs gained. My scale is making me mad.  Some days it shows higher weight and later that day I am lower.  My weight is fluctuation so much.  I am not too worried about the weight gain, mostly about baby being big.  I really don't want another 9 lb baby.

Cravings:  Same.. Lemonade and spicy food, Mexican and chips and salsa

Food Aversions: Still nothing

What made me cry this week: Don't think I cried this week.

Thoughts from Jayden:  Jayden still tells me and others its a girl.  I tell him no remember its a boy.  He will agree sometimes, but most the time he insists that its a girl.  Yesterday Jayden tells me, "I want to be a mommy."  when I asked why, he said, "because mommies take care of the babies, and they take care of daddies too.  And mommies take care of dishes and the dice."  I told him well daddies can do those things too.  He said no, "mommies do it better.  When I grow up I want to be a mommy."  LOL!!  Oh and the dice has to do with a game Jayden has.  He says I always take care of them by putting them away.

Something I am excited about: I'm at the halfway point!!  And shopping is still fun.  I found the cutest monkey outfit today with an adorable hat.. eek!  I love all the cute stuff.
