Educational Insights Alpha Catch Review & Giveaway

I have another great Educational Insight product to share with you.  This is a product that I have had my eye on for a while.  Jayden is a huge sports fan.  He loves all sports.  I just knew that he would love the Alpha Catch.

The Alpha Catch is a fun sports themed, physical way to practice letter names and sounds. By taking turns tossing self-stick balls, catching them with the sticky catcher's mitts, and playing fun phonics games about the letters on each ball, children have so much fun they don't even know they are learning. Educational value is Phonemic awareness, letter identification, letter sounds, word building, beginning sounds, ending sounds,

Games include:

  • Letter Line Up - "What letter is that?"
  • Ace the Sound - "What sound does that letter make?"
  • Beginning Sounds Catch - "Say a word that begins with that sound!"
  • Ending Sounds Catch - "Say a word that ends with that sound!"
  • Middle Sounds Catch - "Say a word that has that sound in the middle!"
  • Word Catch - "Can you make a word with the letters you caught?"
  • Round Robin Play - "All questions above are asked as a group of kids tosses and catches the balls
Jayden is a huge fan of anything sports related and he also loves the alphabet.  This was a perfect game for him.  We have played it many different ways.  We have played Ace the Sound and catch a letter where he simply tells me which letter he caught.  He loves to catch as many letters as he can at one time and as he pulls them off he will tell me the letter, the sound, or both.  We also use the balls to count and identify colors.  I love that the balls are small, soft, and lightweight.  We can play in the house and I don't worry about things breaking.  This game is fun and educational.

 Buy it:  Alpha Catch $29.99
