My Pregnancy Journal Week 23

Week 23

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb. From BabyCenter

Random Thoughts: Baby boy is still moving often.. mostly down low.  Think he is still breech. I have continued to lose energy lately, kind of sucks since I really want to clean and organize, but I am up for a few minutes moving around and I am so tired and just want to sit.  I had to sub in a classroom recently and it just proved that I am so glad I am not responsible for being in a classroom all day.  I could not do it..

Symptoms/Medical:  I have been feeling very fat lately.  My tummy feels really tight every evening and sometimes during the day.  It gets really uncomfortable, but then goes away.  I think it is possibly Braxton Hicks, but not sure.  I have also had some back pain.  No real problems or concerns.  Oh, and of course lots of sleepiness.

Weight Gain:  I'm up again another 1 so now at 22 overall. Getting so big.. like a huge basketball under my shirt.  I was hoping for only a pound a week.. don't like the 2 lbs weeks.

Cravings:  I am still all over Lemonade.  Also, really want a bean and cheese burrito from Filiberto's.  YUM!  I have also been thinking about a banana split the last couple of nights thanks to another preggo blogger friend..

Food Aversions: Nada

What made me cry this week: Not really any crying this week.  I almost cried a couple times with Jayden.  First on Monday when Jayden woke up he told me No I want daddy.. I said daddy went to work he literally just busted out crying.  I felt horrible to see him cry.  I had to call John to come back and see him, he had just left.  So he came back and Jayden hugged him and felt better.  Also, when Jayden was kind of being grouchy.  He was going to bed and I went to say good night.  He said, "go away mama, I don't love you." Of course I know he was upset and it was not about me.. lucky I didn't break down and cry.  But I do expect next week to have lots of crying with John leaving for training.

Thoughts from Jayden: Jayden often hugs my belly.  We talk about baby brother some.  Often Jayden wants me to carry him.  I will, but I don't do it for long and he gets upset.  I try not to blame the baby so I just blame me and say my back hurts.  We were at the store the other day and I went over to baby section to look.  I asked Jayden what does he think baby brother needs.  He told me shoes, he needs shoes.  He liked the monkey shoes.

Something I am excited about: All the fun movements and hoping that soon Jayden will be able to feel it soon too.  It seems when baby boy moves if I put my hand there then it stops.  I know it won't be long before its really hard kicks and hits.
