Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuz From BabyCenter
Random Thoughts: I think I have energy and plan all this stuff, but then I just fall flat and need to sit. Its getting really old. I have so much to do before baby boy gets here. Today I got home from work and started with cutting up some watermelon and then worked on the dishes. I could not even do them all before my back and feet hurt so bad I had to sit. Then I start to get really tired and fall into that almost asleep state. Where it seems like I'm asleep, but I am aware of everything around me. Lucky John has realized that I am having hard time and is taking over Jayden's bath. Usually we take turns, but this week John has done it every night. He even made dinner tonight.
I still need to pack a bag for the hospital. I need to decide on a coming home outfit for baby boy too. So much to do, so little time, and too tired to do it all..
Symptoms/Medical: My feet have continued to swell like crazy lately. I'm sure it is some from the heat and drinking much more water, some from walking more with teachers back and not working in the office everyday, and just baby boy is lower and putting pressure on my legs. I had lots of swelling in my feet and legs with Jayden, but I don't remember them hurting like they do this time. And I'm pretty sure I waddle like a duck when I walk now. I have a doctor appointment in the morning and I get to see my own doctor, maybe the last time before baby boy comes since my next appointments are with other doctors in the office. I will continue to hope for labor a little early.
Weight Gain: 2 lbs up... 43lbs over all.
Cravings: I've kind of been wanting Mexican food lately. And I have been super thirsty still, but of course its really hot out so that is part of it.
Food Aversions: None as usual.
What made me cry this week: Nope.. no crying.
Thoughts from Jayden: Jayden continues to kiss and hug my belly. He wants baby boy to come out already. He was playing with his Mobigo the other day and when he got his score he showed it to my belly and said, "Look baby ___. Look at my score." He's so sweet he wants to share. Jayden has been giving lots of hugs and kisses to me lately too. I almost forgot after the baby shower last week I asked him if he had fun at the shower. He tells me, "but we didn't take a bath mama. I thought we was gonna take a bath." He thought shower meant to take an actual shower or bath. lol! I explained it to him, but he still thinks we should have taken a bath.
Something I am excited about: I can't believe how far I am. I am excited that its getting so close to meet this little boy growing inside me. Also, a friend that is due with her first little boy has gone into labor today. she is at the birthing center now.. I can't wait to see pictures. Congrats to Vilma and Michelle!!
