When I hear the name Boppy I think breastfeeding pillow. The Boppy pillow is a MUST have as far as I am concerned. You might remember that I reviewed the Boppy Nursing Pillow a couple months back. I use mine everyday. It goes from my room to the living room and back. Boppy does carry a few other products besides that great pillow, including the Travel Boppy Pillow, and a nursing cover. I was sent one of their nursing covers to review.
The Boppy Nursing Cover is made from 100% cotton. It is machine washable and folds up into a mini pouch for easy storage. It is designed for full coverage for discreet nursing. It features a small plastic piece in the front to help mom to see baby without exposing herself. The nursing cover features a unique sideline ring that tracks which side baby last nursed on. It easily slides along the front. 
I have used the Boppy Nursing Cover a few times. The size of this nursing cover helps to fully cover mom and helps to make nursing in public easier. The sideline feature makes it easier when your on the run and can't remember which side you last nursed on. It slides across the front easily. I really love that the cover folds into the pocket pouch. The pocket on the front of the cover becomes the pouch to hold the cover. This is great because then the pouch doesn't get lost. I don't know about you, but I am always losing things that are not attached. The print on this cover is a grey floral called Lupine and I love it. It is very lightweight making it great for summer and to keep cool. I used it in the car once outside of the local amusement park. I was able to keep Evan and myself well covered in the front seat while draping the cover over the AC vent in the car. It was perfect to keep us cool on a hot Arizona summer day.
I know I will be using my Boppy Nursing cover regularly. I keep it in my car or diaper bag at all times so it is available while I am out and about. So whenever Evan is hungry I am able to nurse on demand anywhere the need arises and I don't have to be strapped to home.

The sideline feature sounds really nice, especially for when you are nursing a really little baby. I remember when my daughter was first born she nursed so frequently that her feedings all kind of blurred together and it was really easy to forget which side she was on last.

I love that the sideline feature would help me keep track of what side is next! With my daughter, I only fed on one side per feeding and would always lose track of which one was next.

ReplyDeleteI love the sideline feature. The only catch I see with it is that I would probably only use the nursing cover when I'm not at home, so it wouldn't really help me when I'm at home...but I still think it's a great feature!

The sideline feature sounds like an interesting idea for moms who use the cover every time. I think it'd be messed up a lot of the time, though, if you only use it when you're out because it wouldn't have tracked which side you fed from the last time you fed, it'd have the last time you fed when you were out. Personally, it wouldn't make much difference since (at least with my son) I always had to feed from both sides. :-)

I think the side line feature is a good idea for some people. Although I would never use it because I could always tell by engorgement which boob to use. Now I only ever use one side ::P
