2012 Holiday Gift Guide SKIL iXO Vivo Review Plus Giveaway


     There are always people on my holiday shopping list that are hard to shop for.  Kids are usually really easy as they want everything.  But adults are not easy to shop for and especially men.  A while back for Father's Day you might recall I shared a couple of great products from SKIL the iXO Palm Sized Screwdriver and the Lithium Ion Power Cutter.  These make great gifts for the men on your list.  And honestly they are great for women too.  I think I love ours the most, its my go to tool.  I also have another great SKIL product to add to those.  Its the SKIL iXO Vivo.

     The SKIL iXO Vivo is the iXO Palm Sized Screwdriver with a great wine attachment.  So essentially it is two tools in one.  It offers the great handyman features of the original iXO cordless screwdriver and adds a unique corkscrew attachment that safely and securely removes a wine bottle cork in less then 10 seconds.  That makes it perfect for wine lovers, DIYers, or someone that entertains regularly.



     John and I enjoy some wine every now and then.  Of course I have not been able to have any for a while with the pregnancy and now nursing.  But that does not stop John from enjoying a glass every now and then. So when I showed John this great new product he was happy to get a bottle of wine to try it on.  Of course he used it on a night when I was out shopping with my mom.. which means I got no pictures, but I still got a few of each piece.  Just not a good action shot.  John said it worked great.  It opened the wine and didn't leave any pieces of cork, which sometimes happens with our other wine opener.

     I really like the versatility of the SKIL iXO Vivo.  I can use it for small projects around the house and when I am done I can relax by opening a bottle of wine.  It comes in a nice box for gift giving.  I do wish it had a case to keep it all in, I worry about losing the small pieces like the drill bits.
