Movie Night: Taken 2 on Blu Ray and DVD

Taken 2 (Unrated Cut) [Blu-ray]

Taken 2
Liam Neeson

Liam Neeson returns as the ex-CIA operative that will stop at nothing to rescue his daughter from sadistic kidnappers.  In this sequel one of the kidnappers fathers declares revenge on Bryan Mills (Neeson's character) after he was killed by Mills.  In this sequel it is Bryan and his wife who are "taken" hostage in Istanbul.  In order to survive, Bryan has to get help from an unlikely ally and his own efficient skills to take out the heavily armed kidnappers one at a time.

John and I decided to have a movie night recently.  We don't often get to watch adult shows since the boys are around and I don't like the chance for them to watch inappropriate programing.  We put the boys to bed, made some popcorn and curled up in a blanket on the couch.  As the movie started my memory of the first movie came back.  In the beginning it does get a little confusing because it is going back and forth and we were not sure if it was happening at the same time or over time.  Then as the movie goes on it begins to go really fast.  Before you know it Mills is executing his plan to escape his kidnappers.  We enjoyed the movie, but I do think the first Taken was better.

The Blu Ray / DVD combo comes with 2 discs.  The first disc is Blu Ray and the second is the DVD with a Digital Copy option.  If you purchase this set you can watch it anywhere.
