Way back before I got pregnant with Evan I worked with Fairhaven Health for a review of the OvaCue and I love it. Now I am happy to share with you some of their great nursing products. I was recently sent the Nursing Blend Breastfeeding supplement, Fenugreek For Breastfeeding Mothers, Nursing Time Tea, and Niple Nurture Balm.
Nursing Blend Breastfeeding supplement helps to quickly increase breast milk production and help improve quality. Nursing Blend was designed by doctors and nutritionists to meet the specific needs of nursing mothers and their babies. It helps to aid in milk production. Essential vitamins and minerals ensure proper nutrition along with herbal ingredients to support breast milk production. It provides 100% of daily value of most vitamins and minerals as well as extra amounts of vitamins that are known to be important for lactating women including vitamin D and the B vitamins. Nursing Blend also contains fenugreek and fennel seed to help stimulate milk production. In addition it has herbs that provide a calming effect for both mom and baby including chamomile and anise.
I began taking the Nursing supplements at the beginning of February. I was starting to see a dip in my supply at that time so I was happy to have something that might help it to increase. I can't say for sure, but I do think it helped some. But then recently my supply took another dip and I continued to take the supplements. I think that may be something else and without the supplements I think I would have lost even more of my supply. I had a little trouble with the nursing time tea. With it being loose leaf it was hard to make a cup of tea without tea leaves floating in the cup. I contacted fairhaven and they offered a couple of suggestions if I didn't like the tea leaves. Some people drink it with the leaves and are just fine with it. It didn't bother me too much, but I did prefer it without the leaves. There are tea balls that you can put loose tea in and I was able to find one. I tried it and it helped some, although the holes were quite large and some of the tea still escaped, but it wasn't large pieces. Also they sell mesh tea balls, which I could not find locally, but I ordered online pretty cheap. I can't wait to receive this and try it. The Nipple Nurture Cream is one items that I was surprised by how much I liked it. I pump 3-4 times a day. Pumping is not fun and it often leaves my nipples a little sore. When I first tried the Nipple Nurture Cream I immediately fell in love. It is very soft and easy to apply. I was using Lanolin before and that is always hard to apply since it is often thick. This cream is so easy to apply and goes on so smooth. It immediately soothes my sore nipples after pumping. I also really like that it is safe for baby so if I apply it and soon after Evan wants to eat then I know it is safe and I don't have to worry about it making him sick.
