HALO Spring Design 100% Cotton SleepSack Review & Giveaway

I was provide the below mentioned product in exchange for my honest review.

During the winter time SleepSacks are a must to keep baby warm and safe while sleeping.  But really SleepSacks are great all year round.  During the Spring and Summer time temperatures outside rise, but inside the AC keeps everything just a little cooler.  But I find that often in the evenings as the sun goes down the house gets a little too cool at times.  Not cool enough to switch on a heater at all, but just enough for a light blanket.  But with baby using a blanket is not safe.  That is where a light weight sleepsack can be very helpful.  HALO has come out with a new Spring Design of 100% Cotton SleepSacks recently.  I was happy to receive one for review.

HALO Innovation’s SleepSack® wearableblankets have become the standard for hospital nurseries and parents alike. In fact, 1,000 hospital nurseries use the HALO SleepSack Swaddle instead of blankets through the HALO Safer Way to Sleep Initiative. That is 1.5 million births getting first-hand, in-hospital experience with the HALO SleepSack Swaddle and safe sleep practices! Modeling safe sleep practices for parents in the hospital is the key to safer sleep practices at home.  HALO Innovations also offers free Safe Sleep Practices kits to childbirth educators to help further the cause of SIDS prevention.

The new Spring Designs are made from 100% cotton and are perfect for warmer months.  It comes in 3 colors blue zebra, grey elephants, or pink bird.  Each sleepsack features a cute animal applique and each animal is stitched with Back is Best to remind parents that babies are safer sleeping on their backs.  As with all the HALO sleepsacks these unzip from the bottom to make diaper changes easier.

Although Evan's room tends to be the warmest room in the house leaving the ceiling fan on cools it to almost too cool.  We used the HALO 100% Cotton SleepSack for a lightweight option to keep him warm and cozy for a full nights sleep.  It fits easily over his onesie.  Most nights he sleeps through with no problems, but if he were to need a diaper change in the middle of the night the zipper makes it really easy with out disturbing him too much.  Evan is able to move around easily in the sleepsack including sitting up.  This is important since he is a mover in his sleep.  He is never in the same spot for long while sleeping.  As he moves around I don't have to worry that he will have a blanket wrapped around him with the sleepsack.  I know that he can move around to get comfortable and he is safe while doing it.
