Monsters University Out in Theaters Today!!

I was provided tickets to the event in exchange for this post
.
Monsters University opens up today nationwide.  I have been waiting for this movie.  I loved the original Monsters Inc.  Jayden has seen Monsters Inc a few times and enjoys it also.  In fact it was on the last week or so a few times.
Monsters University goes back to when Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan were in college.  From the moment they met they could not stand each other.  They were far from the inseparable pair they are in Monsters Inc.  "Monsters University" helps Mike and Sulley to over come their differences and become best friends.

Jayden and I were fortunate enough to attend a local 3D screening earlier this week.  That is right we left baby brother and daddy at home and had a movie night just the two of us.  Jayden was a little worried before going because for some reason he was not afraid of the monsters in Monsters Inc, but was afraid of the guys in the yellow suits.  You know the contamination guys.  I had to help he see that the movie is not a scary movie and the guys in yellow are just wearing a uniform or costume.  This was Jayden's first experience with 3D and actually mine since the time of paper glasses with the red and blue film.

At the beginning of the film Mike is a child on a field trip to Monsters Inc.  That is where he decides he wants to be a scarer.  He goes to Monsters University to get his degree in scaring.  He is so excited and ready to get started.  In his first class he meets Sulley and is not impressed.  Sulley is a big natural scarer from a long line of scarers.  Mike takes everything serious and really works hard to be a good scarer.  Sulley on the other hand just breezes about and depends on his scares.  Soon Mike and Sulley need to work together to win the Scare Games.  They start out on the same team, but are constantly fighting.  After a while the learn to work together and even love by the end of the show.  It was fun to see many of the characters from Monsters Inc in a different role or personality.  There were lots of funny parts for adults to enjoy.

I am so happy we were able to attend this movie.  It was a great movie out with my favorite boy.  Check your local theater for times and showing of Monsters University.  This is a great movie for the kids and the family in general. This movie comes out today.  So get there early for good seats.

I was  provided tickets to the event in exchange for this post. I was not compensated in any way. All thoughts and opinions are my own and not influenced. disclosure
