Cutting Down Germs While On The Go With The Boppy Shopping Cart Cover Review & Giveaway (First Birthday Gift)

I was provided the below mentioned products in order to provide a review.

As mom's we all want to protect our little ones from germs and anything that can get them sick.  But there are germs everywhere.  You can't just stay locked up in your house all the time.  So we find ways to cut down on the germs our children are exposed to, especially for the youngest babies since they get sick easiest.  Two places that have high germ count and babies and children are constantly touching are shopping cart seats and restaurant high chairs.  I had the opportunity to try the Boppy Shopping Cart Cover and love it.

original
Boppy is best known for their nursing pillows.  I know that I would not be able to live with our my pillows.  I have the original Boppy and the NEW nursing pillow.  I use both of them daily.  I don't know what I would have done without them for the past year.  Boppy started with their original Boppy pillow in 1989 and has grown to become a baby must have in households everywhere.  Even when I pumped and bottle fed Jayden I used a Boppy pillow.  But although Boppy pillows are a must have, there is more to Boppy then their pillows.  They also have play gyms, mats, changing pats, nursing covers, and shopping cart covers.

I received the Park Gate Shopping Cart Cover.  It is made from 100% Polyester.  It fits most large carts and high chairs.  It has a full 360 degree coverage to keep your little one clean all around.  The Boppy Shopping Cart Cover features a SideLine ring and toy.  The toy easily slides along the line to entertain baby within reach and keep it from dropping.  It has a safety belt to keep baby strapped in and safe.

Typically when I am out shopping I will use the carrier with Evan.  But after receiving the Boppy Shopping Cart cover I can put him in a cart and push him instead.  The first time we used it was back to school shopping for Jayden.  We went to Walmart.  Evan was not quite sure what to think about sitting in the car.  I was happy with how large it was covering all the surfaces he would touch.  I also liked that the leg holes were just the right size, not too big cause him to touch the cart.  Evan liked that he could reach around and play.  He also liked that he could touch Jayden and see what was going on.  After a short time he did want to be picked up, but mostly because it was his first time and he is so used to the carrier.

We used the Shopping Cart Cover a couple times at restaurants.  We took John's mom out for her birthday and it was nice to let him sit on his own.  Often before I would either keep him in the carrier or hold him on my lap while we ate out.  That makes it difficult to eat.  Last week I decided to take Jayden to McDonald's for lunch and playtime.  He really wanted to go to the park, but it was so hot.  So an indoor play place sounded better.  Evan was able to sit in the high chair and I didn't worry as much about all the nasty germs.  We all know that baby high chairs are covered in germs.

I am really happy with the Boppy Shopping Cart Cover and that it is so versatile that it can be used on high chairs as well.  I have not used it at Sam's Club yet, but I'm sure it will fit the full seat in the cart even though they have large carts.  The SlideLine makes it so much easier to keep track of toys.  Evan is entertained with the cute little toy and I don't have to worry about it getting lost.  The only thing I wish for is a carrying bag.  I wish there was a way it would fold into a bag or had a bag with it.  After we use it then it just kind of gets put in the car loosely.  I'd love for it to either fold into a bag or include a bag to keep it in.  The Boppy Shopping Cart cover comes in 3 different prints, Deco Stripe, Olivia's Bouquet, and Park Gate.  I absolutely love the Olivia's Bouquet print for a girl.
