2013 Holiday Gift Guide Air Hogs Helix and Atmosphere Plus Giveaway

I was provided the below mentioned products in exchange for this post.

Boys and remote control toys seem to go together so well.  I think Jayden received his first remote control car at just a couple years old.  I remember growing up all my brother ever wanted was remote control toys.  In fact I think he still has some big remote control monster trucks to this day.  Then you add in something that flies and wow boys everywhere get happy.  I know mine do, including my husband.  Air Hogs is a name that just sticks out as boy.  The Air Hogs line from Spin Master consists of many different remote control vehicles including flying objects.  I was sent two items as part of the Holiday Gift Guide this year.

First I received the Helix X4 Stunt.  This thing doesn't look like a plane or a helicopter.  It is a high-performance RC Stunt quad-copter.  It performs 3 incredible stunts by pushing the button.  You flip, barrel roll, and 180 flip.  With the full 4 channel control you can enable the Helix X4 to easily out fly any obstacle and out stunt any other RC vehicle.  There is nothing like the Helix.  It can be as simple as pressing a button to get it to perform a trick.  Of course as  you get better at flying it you can do many other great tricks.  It is extremely light weight as it is made from a very light weight foam material.  It has a USB charger for fast and easy charging.  It has smooth moves and is able to fly around objects, show of agile moves, and hover in one place.

Features at a Glance:
  • Perform 180 degree flips, back flips, and barrel rolls with a push of a button
  • Includes Novice and Expert Modes
  • Durable crash resistant materials
  • 4 Ducted Fans for stable flight
  • 4 Channel Control
  • 2.4 GHz
  • Charge from remote control or USB
  • Suitable for children 12+
  • Indoor Use
  • 8 AA batteries required

The second item I received is the Atmosphere RC.  This is something I had not seen before.  The Atmosphere can defy gravity.  Although it is considered an RC, you can control it with just your hand.  The Atmosphere is a powerful levitating sphere that does not require a remote.  It hovers above any surface.  It is able to easily bounce off the walls and ceiling fan.  You are in complete control.

Defy Gravity with Your Every Move
  • You don’t need a remote when you are the controller
  • Atmosphere uses altitude sensing technology to hover above surfaces and objects
  • Atmosphere works by knowing what’s beneath it and hovers above it
  • Just use your hands or any part of your body...or find other ways to play
  • You’ll be amazed as the Air Hogs Atmosphere defies gravity with your every move

The Air Hogs Atmosphere is a powerful levitating sphere that defies gravity! It uses altitude sensing technology to hover above surfaces and objects and can sense when it's near ceilings and walls. Use the palm of your hand, or any other part of your body to guide the Atmosphere.  It has a crash-resistant spherical cage that allows it to bounce off calls and ceilings without even interrupting.
