Holiday Cleaning with Arizona Carpet and Restoration

I was provided the below mentioned service in exchange for this post.

The holidays are a time to get together with family and friends.  But before all the parties and get togethers, holiday cleaning takes place.  We usually have Christmas Day at my house with my family and sometimes Christmas Eve too with John's family.  So that means I need a clean house.  When Arizona Carpet and Restoration contacted me about a review I was of course excited.
Arizona Carpet & Restoration is a family owned business that has been in Maricopa County for over 34 years.  Arizona Carpet & Restoration is committed to keeping their customers educated and safe.  They provide consumer education so their customers can make an informed decision when choosing the services they need.  All of their technicians are certified with IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) and all of their employees have passed integrity tests and rigorous background checks through the Crimesheild service.   When you receive your appointment confirmation through email they send the name and photo of the person that will come to clean your carpets.  So when they arrive at your home you can be assured the person is safe.  This is great for women or anyone home alone.  When the technician arrived at my home he introduced himself and showed me his ID.

My carpets are old and with 2 boys running around they get pretty dirty and even stained.  When the technician was ready to start we walked around the house and I showed him all the rooms.  I have carpet in the living room, hallway, master bedroom, and both the boys rooms.  The highest concentration of traffic is our living room of course.  As we walked around we discussed any stains or discoloration in the carpet.  He asked if I knew what the stains were from to get an idea of how best to work on them.  After touring my house the technician then told me what the process would be.  He also let me know that since the carpet will be wet for a bit that we should be very careful on the tile as it becomes very slippery when wet.  He gave both Jayden and I a pair of plastic booties to put on our feet.  He even put a wet floor sign on the tile.  He first goes around and vacuums the whole house.  After the vacuum he then sprays a prespray.  He then turns on his pump and started in the bedrooms to spray and clean.  He finished with the carpet in the living room.  He was very through and went over every inch of the carpet.  Any areas that seemed to have stains he would be sure and go over a few times in order to lift the stain.  After he was all done he cleaned up, even wiping the tile with a towel.  He shared with me that when he dumps the water after cleaning he can see the tale of the carpet.  And not to my surprise the tale mine said what the I do not vacuum enough.  The water was very brown and dirty.  Living in Arizona there is dirt everywhere and with two boys and a husband going in and out of course a bunch of that dirt is tracked into the house.  The technician told me that it is worth investing in a very good vacuum.  He said then the trick is to use it, weekly or more.  He said a good vacuum can get about 85% of the dirt out of the carpet.  So  I will have to use mine more often to keep our carpets cleaner.

Arizona Carpet and Restoration offer additional services beyond carpet cleaning.  They also offer Tile and Grout cleaning, upholstery cleaning, Area Rugs, auto interiors, mattresses, and upholstered patio furniture.  To help keep your carpet clean longer they offer a spot cleaner for those little messes that happen.  They also offer a carpet protector that will keep your carpet protected from spills, stains, and general dirt.  They also have what they call a walk off spaghetti mat.  This mat is made of durable looped vinyl and it is heavy duty.  By having this mat at your front door you can eliminate so much more before even walking in the house.

If you need your carpets cleaned either before or even after the holidays I would recommend Arizona Carpet and Restoration.  They were easy to schedule with, professional, and did a great job.

  3. I need my carpets cleaned too though it won't get done before Christmas. I am so glad to hear that I can hopefully find someone that will email me a pic. I don't like strangers in the house when I am home alone, but that helps a lot. Your carpets look great!

  4. They did a beautiful job! I just had Hubby put NEW flooring down in the dining room for the holidays! LOL! Our rug in the living room could use a good cleaning, but I think it can wait a couple of months. It's not too bad for the Holidays, anyway. Not when I've got 12 grandkids who will spill stuff on it anyway!
