Here Come the Octonauts DVD Review & Giveaway

I was provided the below mentioned products in order to provide a review

My boys enjoy watching some of the great shows on Disney Jr.  One of their favorites is the Octonauts.  They are so cute when it comes on and they just sit and watch.  Jayden has some Octonauts toys he plays with too.  For the longest time Evan would find the part that would talk and he'd walk around with it pressing the button.  All we heard all day was Octonauts coming to the rescue.  When I was asked if I'd be interested in reviewing the new Here Comes the Octonaughts DVD I of course said yes.  I knew my boys would love it.

CAPTAIN BARNACLES BEAR

A brave polar bear extraordinaire and the leader of the Octonauts crew. He's always the first to rush in and help whenever there's a problem.

KWAZII KITTEN

A daredevil orange kitten with a mysterious pirate past. He loves excitement and travelling to exotic places.

PESO PENGUIN

PESO PENGUIN is the medic for the team. He's an expert at bandaging and always carries his medical kit with him in case of emergencies. He's not too fond of scary things, but if a creature is hurt or in danger, he can be the bravest Octonaut of all!

Together with the rest of their crew, DASHI (SAUCI) DOG, SHELLINGTON SEA OTTER, TWEAK BUNNY, PROFFESSOR INKLING OCTOPUS and TURNIP THE VEGIMAL, the Octonauts explore the world's oceans, rescue the creatures who live there, and protect their habitats - above and below the waves!

In Here Come the Octonauts, Captain Barnacles must figure out how to free an old friend who is trapped beneath the ice; Kwazii tries to rescue a reef full of creatures before an undersea storm strikes; and Peso must help a school of frightened fish who have invaded the Octopod!

Based on the books of the same name by Vicki Wong and Michael Murphy, who write under the name Meomi, Octonauts is broadcast weekday mornings on Disney Channel’s Disney Junior block. The Octonauts received a BAFTA nomination for Best Animated Preschool Show in 2011 and 2013; and in October 2012 was nominated for an International EMMY Award.

And watch out in 2014 for some great new Octonauts events—the Octonauts have recently partnered with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to work jointly to raise awareness of ocean exploration and science and advance NOAA’s mission!  The partnership, which extends learning beyond the screen, includes plans for events at aquariums nationwide and joint development of educational materials!

Soon after we received the DVD Jayden asked to watch it.  Jayden and Evan both sat down and enjoyed watching it together.  I love how Jayden's imagination grows after watching shows like this.  He immediately began acting out the show in our living room.  He tells me we are all under the water and gives me instructions.  It is fun to play and pretend to be Octonauts.

Win it:  One (1) Arizona Mama reader will win their own Here Come the Octonauts DVD.
