Lotus Bumz Cloth Diaper Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

There are so many great reasons to cloth diaper.  I know it is not for everyone, but I love it.  I save tons of money by not buying and throwing away disposables every day.  I never have to worry about running out of diapers, if I get low I can just throw them in the washing machine, no late night diaper runs.  I don't have any concerns with diaper rash because it is just about non-existent.  Not to mention how adorable Evan's little cloth diaper bum looks.  Recently I was sent a Lotus Bumz cloth diaper to try.

Lotus Bumz diapers is a WAHM-operated business that is located in the US.  Lotus Bumz diapers are fairly made in China.  These handmade fitted diapers, covers and trainers are made by WAHM at the Eli Monster Company.  They also work with some very talented WAHMs working to create a very unique and special one of a kind fitted diaper just for Lotus Bumz.  These amazing moms work here in the U.S. as well.
We received our diaper quickly.  When I opened it up I noticed the nice polka dot print right away.  The diaper is one size so it can be used from newborn to toddler.  Evan is already over a year old and this diaper fits great.  It looks like it will continue to fit until we potty train for sure.  The diaper has an all PUL outer lining.  There are 3 rows of snaps to accommodate different sizes.  It includes a hip snap to prevent the sides from dropping and therefore allowing leaks.  The waist tabs can overlap for those extra small baby waists.  The inside is made from really super soft fleece.  This includes a 3 layer microfiber insert for absorption.

When I first received this diaper I ran it in out diaper wash a few times to prep it for use.  We then used it a few times during the day.  It fit great and held up with no leaks.  Evan is able to move around easily without being limited by the diaper.  I did try it one night for overnight.  I was a little disappointed that it did leak a little that night.  I only used the single insert.  But it seemed he soaked more then he usually does.  It just happened to be an unusual night for him.  Evan is not a big night time soaker like Jayden used to be.  I will try the Lotus Bumz diaper again for night time.  I think it was just not a typical night for Evan.  When I do I will probably try adding an extra insert just in case.  The diaper is able to accommodate an extra insert in the pocket.

My overall impression of this cloth diaper is that I like it.  It is well made in a cute print.  The fit is great and I like one size since it means less diapers over all to buy.  Lotus Bumz has so many adorable prints that I have not seen before.  I like that they have exclusive prints.  I'd love to get Evan the Icy Foxes, Mustache, and the Blue Owl all so cute.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  2. When my son was a baby we rented and didn't have a washer so it made it impossible for me to use cloth diapers. Not to mention 20+ years ago they didn't have any that compared with these! They are awesome!
