Fresh & Easy Stores Great for Quick Stops

Evan is at the age where stopping at the store is so difficult.  He can only be contained for short periods.  Then you add Jayden in it just gets a bit crazy.  So going to the store becomes somewhat of a chore even for quick stops.  Anytime I stop at the grocery store even for a few items I leave a little more stressed.  So just the other day  needed to get a few random items, but really didn't want to stop at the regular grocery store.  But then I saw a Fresh & Easy store and decided to stop there.  We used to have one real close to us that I liked shopping at, but it closed.  This one is a bit further away, but it was in the area we were in.

When we got in the store Evan was happy to sit in the cart.  I really like that the store is small and only takes a few minutes to walk the whole store.  It wasn't real crowded either.  You an get in and get out quickly.  We walked around to see what we needed.  I found a Hummus trio that looked too good to pass up.  We made our way over to the frozen food section because we needed some frozen fruit for our morning smoothies.  We found some pineapple, mango, and berry blend.  While we were looking we found some sweet potato fries for the boys.  Jayden loves sweet potato fries and I was hoping Evan would too.  Jayden then found Jello and just had to have some.  He has been wanting Jello for a few days now.  The last thing I wanted was some pita chips to go with my hummus.  We looked and could not find any.   I asked the store clerk and he told me which isle and about where in the isle.  We went back and looked.  They only had flavored pita chips.  I really wanted plain since I was going to have hummus with them.  I decided to wait and get some somewhere else.  So we headed to check out with our random assortment of items.

Check out was Jayden's favorite part.  He loves scanning his own groceries.  There was no wait to check out and the clerk was even available to bag our groceries for us.  We left the store with happy boys and a happy mom.  It was not the big hassle that a grocery stop usually is.  And we made it out with Evan still happy in the cart.

The boys had sweet potato fries with their dinner that night and loved them.  They made for a quick and easy side to dinner.  In the morning I made some fruit smoothies with the frozen fruit and they were so yummy.  We had not tried adding pineapple or mango before.  So glad we got these.  I got some pita chips today and tried the hummus and it is so good.  I could not believe I got 3 different flavors of hummus for such a good price.  As for the Jello we have not made that yet.  But I'm sure it won't be long since Jayden keeps asking for some.

Fresh & Easy is such a great place if you want to make a quick stop and a great selection.  I just wish they would reopen the one closer to our house.  If you live in CA, NV, or AZ check out your local Fresh & Easy store.  See how they are a new kind of market.

  2. I don't have a fresh and easy here but after seeing all the posts about them I so wish I did. Seems like a great place to grocery shop.

  3. Yum, that hummus looks amazing. Sadly we don't have a Fresh & Easy here but it sort of reminds me of a smaller version of Whole Foods which I absolutely love.
