Reed & Barton Blown Glass Ornaments Review & Giveaway

I really can't believe how fast the year is going and it is almost Christmas already. I enjoy decorating for Christmas.  I remember as a kid decorating the tree with my mom and brother.  It was a fun time.  Our tree was always a fun project to decorate. When I began dating my husband I was introduced to my now sister in law.  At the time she was a glass blower.  She has made me a few beautiful glass blown ornaments for my tree over the years before she stopped doing that job.  When I was given the opportunity to get a blown glass ornament from Reed & Barton I was excited.  I had Jayden look with me at all the great ornaments they had.  Our tree has lots of snowmen so I though for sure he would want a snowman for the tree, but I was wrong.  He picked the nutcracker, he said it reminded him of his nana cause she likes nutcrackers.

The "Nutracker" ornament is a beautiful handmade European ornament from the Christmas Reflections collection by Reed & Barton. The Nutcracker is dressed in festive red and green as he holds a Christmas tree.  The paint has glitter in to to really stand out.  I love that it is made so well and the glitter is not coming off.  The details in his face are so good.  The ornament arrived in a nice box surrounded by soft tissue strips.  It also has the Reed and Barton coat of arms charm.

The Nutcracker is a traditional symbol of Christmas because he is thought to have guardian-like properties due to his strong appearance.  He stands erect and formal.  I love that Jayden made the choice to pick this ornament.  But now we are debating if we keep it for ourselves or share with the boys Nana since she is the reason he picked this ornament.  We have not decided yet. Either way we are happy to have him with us until the tree is up to display him or until we give him to Nana.
