2014 Holiday Gift Guide BB Blocks Photography Blocks Plus Giveaway #HGG

I was provided the below mentioned product in exchange for this post.

I am in no way a professional photographer, but I do like to take lots of pictures.  I recently got a new DSLR camera and I am loving it.  I still don't know all the great features, but I am liking the pictures it takes.  I love taking pictures of my boys as they grow.  It is a great way to document their growth and all the changes they go through.  Not long ago I saw BB Blocks and I was immediately interested.  They look so cute and help to document age in photographs.  I was excited when I was offered a set to review for the holiday gift guide this year.

BB Blocks are made from natural wood.  They are unique with natural variations in the grains of wood.  Each set of BB Blocks included 3 blocks, 2 square number blogs with combinations that go from 1 to 32.  They are about 3.5" cubes.  There is 1 rectangle blow with Weeks/Months/Years on each side and measures 7" by 3.5".  BB Blocks come with the numbers in 3 different color combinations.  There is a light pastel color called cotton candy with pink, purple, and light blue.  A natural color combination called Woodlands with green, blue, and brown.  And a bolder colors are called bold with red, blue, and green.

I received the Bold BB Blocks.  The blocks are very good quality.  They are solid with natural imperfections that make them perfect.  The numbers are painted on well.  I don't see that the color will peel off in any way.  I really like that they are chunky and perfect for adding to photographs without being lost in the picture, but not the main focus either.  It was fun to photograph my boys and their ages.  Evan loved holding them to show me his number.

These would be a perfect gift for any photographer on your holiday gift list.  They would also be great for new parents to begin to document their babies growth.  I have a friend that does newborn and children photography and I know she would love a set or two of these.  Having more then one set means you can photography siblings and document their ages at the same time.  I really like that the box even has some great tips for photographing children.

BB Blocks also offers expansion packs to add more number blocks.  They also carry month onesie sets for boys and girls.  These blocks can also be used to document your fur babies ages.  There are some adorable pictures of puppies with these blocks on their website.
