I am so excited to share with you about Big Hero 6. We were lucky enough to see it 2 weeks ago and a special screening. It was so good it was really hard to hold it in. I seriously can not wait to see it again. We loved it. So first a little about the movie:
From Walt Disney Animation Studios, the team behind “Frozen” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” comes “Big Hero 6,” an action-packed comedy-adventure about the special bond that develops between Baymax (voice of Scott Adsit), a plus-sized inflatable robot, and prodigy Hiro Hamada (voice of Ryan Potter). When a devastating event befalls the city of San Fransokyo and catapults Hiro into the midst of danger, he turns to Baymax and his close friends adrenaline junkie Go Go Tomago (voice of Jamie Chung), neatnik Wasabi (voice of Damon Wayans Jr.), chemistry whiz Honey Lemon (voice of Genesis Rodriguez) and fanboy Fred (voice of T.J. Miller). Determined to uncover the mystery, Hiro transforms his friends into a band of high-tech heroes called “Big Hero 6.”
Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring breathtaking action with all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Big Hero 6” is directed by Don Hall (“Winnie the Pooh”) and Chris Williams (“Bolt”), and produced by Roy Conli (“Tangled”). The film hits theaters in 3D on .

In the movie Hiro is a child prodigy, but is wasting his talent and knowledge in bot fighting (which is illegal). His brother tries to show him what a great place college would be for him and that he can use his intelligence for good. Hiro met lots of great people who became his friends as he developed a new project as a way to be accepted into the college. Then tragedy strikes when a fire breaks out and Hiro's brother runs in to save one of the professors. Hiro is devastated and no longer wants to do anything. Hiro discovers that Baymax his brother's invention is there and wants to heal him. Hiro and Baymax become friends. Hiro soon realizes that his invention is being used by someone else. He decides to find out who and why. Soon his new friends join in. Hiro helps his friends to become high tech heroes as they work together to solve this mystery. Baymax is always by his side as he discovers the truth. Hiro goes through lots of emotions and struggle as he has to make the right decisions for everyone.
When we were offered the chance to see the movie I was excited to see it although I was not completely sure what it was about. I was happy that I was able to take my whole family this time (usually only 2 of us can go). John was hesitant because he said the previews did not interest him. But to take the boys and do a family movie he joined. But once the movie started it was so good. The action keeps coming. Baymax the inflatable robot is hilarious without even trying to be. All the characters are fun. My boys loved Baymax the best of course. There were lots of very funny parts to the movie, but also some sad and emotional parts. Jayden loved the parts when Baymax did funny things and loved when he was flying. My boys both get excited when they see previews for this movie and ask to see it again. This was Evan's fist movie theater show. And John walked out talking about how great the movie was. He said he was not really sure it would be good based on the previews, but it was really good. He loved the robots and the great innovation.
My familly and I attended the early screening in exchange for this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own and not influenced by anyone.
