WowWee designs and develops many hi-tech consumer robotics and entertainment products. The products they make are innovative and fun. During the Christmas we saw so many great products out for WowWee. They have the MIP robot, Tipster, Noomie, and Elektrokidz. We were sent the Noomie and the Elektrokidz to try.
The Noomie is an interactive, happy friend that will keep your spirits high. She moves and dances around. She makes over 300 sounds. Noomie comes with 6 active accessories. With each added accessory her personality changes. You can even mix and match the accessories in combination for more personalies. She comes with a remote control that you can use to control her movements. She moves forward and backwards, turns, spins, dances, shakes, talks, and even likes to be tickled. She even has beat detection so she will move to the beat of music she hears. Noomie comes in 3 different color combinations.
My husband was actually the one ready to try out the Nommie. He pulled her out of the box and set her up. The boys immediately had to see what it was. They had tons of fun controlling her and watching her change personalities. This is marketed as a girls toy, but really it could be either. I think adding more neutral colors would be helpful for boys to be more interested. But my boys don't really care that she is mostly pink. They love watching her spin around and make silly sounds. They love making her personality change with the accessories. The cowboy hat is the funnest with her becoming a cowboy.
The Elektrokidz is a fun music or noise inspired collectible toy. The look like little troll dolls with crazy hair. The fun part is when you play music or make loud noises, even talking the hair dances. The hair tries to move to the beat of the music or noise. It picks up lowest and/or the loudest frequency. There are 6 unique Elektrokidz that come in 6 different finishes. We received a shiny gold Elektrokidz. They all come with their own stylish shades too. Each Elektrokidz has their own special hair movement that dances to their beat in their own way. No two Elektrokidz hair dance the same way. There are no wires to worry about. It runs on batteries that are in the feet. It comes with a spare set of batteries too. When the Elektrokidz does not have input for over 30 seconds it will go into sleep mode. You just press the belly button to wake it up.
My boys absolutely love this thing. They think it is hilarious to watch its hair move to music and even better when they talk or yell at it. It even moves to their giggles. Jayden loves to yell across the room at it and say, "Hey! What are you doing?" and Evan likes to yell anything about poop (I know a 2 year old think). They also love to put on music and watch his hair dance, their favorite song to play is, "What Does The Fox Say?" It really is fun. When I first say it I was thinking girlie with the pink hair and all, but my boys don't care they love it. When I was first getting it started I was having trouble getting it to turn on. The batteries have to be in just right. So it took me a bit to get them in right, but once I did the fun began.
WowWee has so many fun interactive hi-tech toys too choose from. My boys are really hoping to get MIP and Tipster next. Those two were so popular at Christmas that many places sold out.
