Pacific Play Tents Pirate Ship Plus $50 GC Giveaway

My boys like pretty much all kids like to play in tents and playhouses.  The will even use a large box for a playhouse.  They always want to pretend it is something else, like a castle or a pirate ship.  The problem is that boxes often tear up and tents are not easy to put together and take down all the time.  And when they are up they take up lots of room.  I have always wanted a fun tent that they could play in together that is easy to put up and take down.  When I was offered a chance to review a Pacific Play Tent I was of course excited.

I received the My Pirate Ship House play tent.  When it arrived I showed it to my boys.  They were both super excited to put it up right away.  The tent itself is pretty big at 50" X 40" X 50" High.  It is made from polyester taffeta with a P.U. coating.  It is flame retardant and meets many safety standards.  It has coated shock-corded poles that are color coded for easy assembly.  There are mesh panels, windows, and a tunnel port with a roll up flap.  It is easy to clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.  The tent comes with a carry bag too.  As I laid out the pieces to put it together Evan helped me out.  It was easy to tell him which color poles I needed and he found them and passed them to me.  Jayden helped to hold the poles in place.

Once the tent was set up the boys could not wait to get inside.  The were excited to look out the windows and just play.  I think they loved having lots of space.  They invited me inside and when my husband got home from work he was invited inside too.  It really is very spacious.  I love all the room too, because that means they can both play and not fight that the other is touching them.  Evan always wants me to "knock" on the door.  They take toys and books in there to play often.  They have even discovered the tunnel port in the back.  They call it their secret escape door.  I love that we could get a tunnel and/or another tent and attach them to extend the play.  I think they would love a tunnel to another house for sure.  So far we have only used it inside, but this could easily be used outside in the yard.  It does take up quite a bit of room, but it is just as easy to break down and put away.  But so far the boys like it up.  They play with it everyday and always try to get us to join them inside.
