Rocket Ship Projection Alarm Clock Review & Giveaway

There are two different types of kids out there.  Once that wake up extremely early for no reason and those that need to be dragged out of bed.  My boys tend to be the wake up extremely early for sure.  I do expect at some point (maybe teenage years) that may change.  Until then they don't really need an alarm clock.  But I know there are many kids that are in need of an alarm clock.  When I was offered the Rocket Ship Projection Alarm Clock I said yes, not because I needed an alarm clock, but because it looked like a fun clock and my boys would love it.

The Rocket Ship Projection Alarm Clock projects four NASA images on the bedroom wall or ceiling.  The image is about 30 inches wide.  The image can be easily switched between the four.  It has an option for the projection to be a nightlight with a timer for an automatic shut off  after 10 or 30 minutes.  Kids can drift off into sleep with visions of astronauts, rocket ships, a full moon or the planet earth.  The clock is designed so a child can easily use it and set it.  It has an AM and PM indicator.  The top of the clock rotates and pivots to allow the time and image to project anywhere in the room.  The rocket clock can operate on 3 C batteries or an AC adapter.

My boys share a room so and they were excited to have this rocket alarm clock in their room.  The first few days they would find many opportunities to tell me what time it was.  They got happy at bedtime to be able to see the projection on the ceiling.  They take turns picking the projection photo each night.  I will admit that there have been some fights about what to project.  I like that the projection can be tilted any way you like.  The buttons are easy to touch and use by both my boys.  I like that you can choose to project just the time or add a picture for it.  When the picture is added it is a little difficult to read the time.  We have not used the alarm clock function since my boys are early risers.

There is a Kickstarter project for the Rocket Ship Alarm Clock that has begun.  This clock would make a great gift for any child.
